Casting update for The Big Brecht Fest: Four short, early plays by Bertolt Brecht. Performed as two double bills. Each play of each double bill is performed in a different theatre. The first play of each double bill is in The Maria Studio and the 2nd play in The Clare Studio.

First Double Bill (open 4 April 2007, following previews from 29 March 2007 - running to 14 April 2007)
RESPECTABLE WEDDING, by Bertolt Brecht, translation by Rory Bremner. Directed by Joe Hill-Gibbins, designed by Ultz. Cast includes: James Corden, Doon Mackichan, Jemima Rooper, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith. A gloriously comic account of the worst kind of family do. THE JEWISH WIFE, by Bertolt Brecht, translation by Martin Crimp. Directed by Katie Mitchell, designed by Hildegard Bechtler. Cast includes Anastasia Hille. Berlin - the city of Jews. A woman reassures her friends and packs her life into a suitcase.

2nd Double Bill (Opens 24 April 2007, following previews from 20 April 2007 - running to 5 May 2007)
SENORA CARRAR'S RIFLES, by Bertolt Brecht, translation by Biyi Bandele. Directed by Paul Hunter, designed by Ultz. Cast includes: Sandy McDade. Carrar must choose: protect her sons or back the resistance. A pocket political thriller. HOW MUCH IS YOUR IRON? , by Bertolt Brecht, translation by Enda Walsh. Directed by Orla O'Loughlin, designed by Dick Bird. A mixture of cabaret and morality tale, a corrosive satire on the international arms trade.
