The Book of Mormon cast at Prince of Wales Theatre

Casting has been announced for The Book Of Mormon, which opens at the West End's Prince of Wales Theatre, on 21 March 2013, following previews from from 25 Feb 2013, initially booking to 1 June 2013.

American's Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner will play Elder Price and Elder Cunningham. They are currently leading the company in the Los Angeles production at the Pantages Theatre.

Other cast members include: Mark Anderson, Stephen Ashfield, Benjamin Brook, Daniel Buckley, Daniel Clift, Ashley Day, Terry Doe, Candace Furbert, Patrick George, Nadine Higgin, Tyrone Huntley, Evan James, Chris Jarman, Michael Kent, Alexia Khadime, Matt Krzan, Oliver Liddert, Daniel McKinley, Luke Newton, Terel Nugent, Haydn Oakley, Olivia Phillip, Lucy St. Louis, Giles Terera, Kayi Ushe, Tosh Wanogho-Maud, Liam Wrate.

Gavin Creel has previously appeared in the West End as Claude in Hair at the Gielgud Theatre and as Bert in Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre. Jared Gertner will make his West End debut in The Book of Mormon. He was a member of the original Broadway company and has previously been seen on stage in Spelling Bee at the Circle in the Square Theatre and in Ordinary Days at the Roundabout Theatre.

The comedy musical, which has been playing to sold out houses in New York since Feb 2011, follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that's about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get.

It has book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone.

It is produced in London by Anne Garefino, Scott Rudin and Sonia Friedman Productions.

Directed by Casey Nicholaw and Trey Parker, designed by Scott Pask, lighting by Brian MacDevitt, choreography by Casey Nicholaw, costumes by Ann Roth, sound by Brian Ronan.
