The Pain and the Itch to 4 Aug 2007

The Pain and the Itch extends two weeks to 4 Aug 2007 at the Royal Court Theatre Downstairs.

Written by Bruce Norris, this comedy opened 21 June 2007, following previews from 14 June, to excellent notices from the popular press: THE EVENING STANDARD says, "Very funny satire." THE INDEPENDENT says, "Highly recommended." THE GUARDIAN says, "A wittily ingenious satire on America's phoney liberalism." THE STAGE says, "Has considerable satirical bite." THE DAILY TELEGRAPH says, "This is a terrifically entertaining."

Directed by Dominic Cooke, the cast includes Matthew Macfadyen & Amanda Boxer.

A cosy family Thanksgiving dinner for six. Someone - or something - is leaving bite marks in the avocados. Clay and Kelly's daughter Kayla has an itch and Carol can't remember who played Ghandi.
