The Play That Goes Wrong announces new cast

Olivier Award winner for Best New Comedy, The Play That Goes Wrong, by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, has announced that a new cast will take over from 18 August 2015, at the Duchess Theatre. It is currently booking until 14 February 2016.

The production, which is directed by Mark Bell, opened in the West End on 14 September 2014, following previews from 5 September, to generally positive reviews, with many praising the energy of the ensemble and the careful direction of the comedy. The play had previously enjoyed a UK tour, as well as a run at the Trafalgar Studios 2 and the Old Red Lion fringe venue.

From 18 August 2015 the cast will include Leonard Cook (Robert), Bryony Corrigan (Sandra), Harry Kershaw (Chris), Laura Kirman (Annie), Chris Leask (Trevor), James Marlowe (Max), Laurence Pears (Jonathan), Niall Ransome (Dennis), Adam Byron, Matt Cavendish, April Hughes and Sarah Madigan.

The Play That Goes Wrong introduces The 'Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society' who are attempting to put on a 1920s' murder mystery, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong... does, as the accident prone thespians battle on against all the odds to get to their final curtain call.

The play is designed by Nigel Hook, with lighting by Ric Mountjoy. It is produced in the West End by Kenny Wax Ltd and Stage Presence Ltd.
