The Pride extends to 23 Nov at Trafalgar Studios

The Pride by Alexi Kaye Campbell, directed by Jamie Lloyd, has extended its run by two weeks at the Trafalgar Studios to 23 Nov 2013.

The show, which opened at the Trafalgar Studios 1 Theatre, 13 Aug 2013, following previews from 8 Aug features Hayley Atwell, Harry Hadden-Paton , Al Weaver, and Mathew Horne.

It is the third of 4 productions as part of Trafalgar Transformed - 'a season of politically-charged power plays on the doorstep of Whitehall, accompanied by a festival of platform events, discussions and readings.' The first production was Macbeth with James McAvoy and the second The Hothouse, with Simon Russell Beale , John Simm.

Philip, Oliver and Sylvia exist in a complex love triangle which spans over half a century, living and loving simultaneously in 1958 and the present against a background of changing attitudes towards homosexuality. Past and present worlds grind together and melt apart, yet the future and its promise of sexual liberation remains ever elusive, as societal repression gives way to self-deception.
