The Yard Theatre present The Mikvah Project

The Yard Theatre in Hackney, east London will present The Mikvah Project by Josh Azouz from 17 February to 14 March 2015.

Directed by Jay Miller, the production includes ancient rituals, live singing and an onstage Mikvah. It features designs by Cécile Trémolieres, sound design by Josh Grigg, lighting design by Joshua Pharo and original compositions by Ezra Burke.

"When Adam was banished from Eden, he sat in the river that flowed from the garden. Adam immersed in the water, in the very first Mikvah, repenting, begging to transform back to an original state of perfection..."

Described as a "playful and poignant play" Josh Azouz's drama explores the limits of love.

The Yard Theatre is a space to explore new ideas, to nurture new talent and to share new experiences. Built using recycled and reclaimed materials, The Yard sits within a converted warehouse in Hackney Wick.
