Theatrical artists in The Queen's Birthday Honours 2015

CBE for actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, currently starring in Everyman at the Olivier, National Theatre, until 30 August 2015.

CBE for actor Benedict Cumberbatch, who will be starring in Hamlet at the Barbican Theatre from 5 August to 31 October 2015.

OBE for Lesley Manville, who won a Best Actress Olivier Award in 2014 for her role as Helene Alving in 'Ghosts' at the Almeida Theatre and Trafalgar Studios.

OBE for Eddie Redmayne, who won a Best Actor Oscar earlier this year for 'The Theory of Everything'. Redmayne also has Olivier and Tony awards for playing the role of Ken in 'Red'.

OBE for West End favourite Michael Ball. The actor has twice won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical - in 2008 for 'Hairspray' at the Shaftesbury Theatre and in 2013 for 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' at the Adelphi Theatre.

Comedian turned actor Lenny Henry is awarded a Knighthood and becomes Sir Lenny Henry. He last starred on the London stage in 'Rudy's Rare Records' at the Hackney Empire, east London, in 2014.

An Honorary knighthood for services to theatre, arts education and international culture has been awarded to US actor/director Kevin Spacey.
