Sisters Niamh and Grace haven't spoken for a while. They fell out when their mother died, but now Niamh has cancer and wants to talk more than ever. She has given her sister Grace a box of old photographs, and the two sit and reminisce. Dipping back and forth from present day to childhood, the sisters piece their childhoods together like a jigsaw, from the harshness and violence of their upbringing to the exhilarating escape of the dance clubs of the emerging Northern Soul scene.

Imogen Stubbs' West End stage credits in recent years include "Salt, Root and Roe" at the Trafalgar Studios 2; Gertrude in "Hamlet" at the Old Vic in 2004; "Mum's The Word" at the Albery in 2003.
