The West End production of Wicked has announced its 19th booking extension at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, with 500,000 new tickets on sale from 10am on Monday 2 February 2015. The musical is now booking until 30 April 2016.
The current cast of Wicked includes Emma Hatton (Elphaba), Savannah Stevenson (Glinda), Jeremy Taylor (Fiyero); Martyn Ellis (The Wizard), Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose), Philip Childs (Doctor Dillamond), Sam Lupton (Boq), and Liza Sadovy (Madame Morrible).
The show opened at the Apollo Victoria Theatre on 27 September 2006, following previews from 07 September, and has since been seen by almost 6 million people. Wicked is now the 10th longest-running show in the West End.
Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, and a book by Winnie Holzman.
The musical is directed by Joe Mantello, scenic design by Eugene Lee, costumes by Susan Hilferty, lighting by Kenneth Posner, sound by Tony Meola, orchestrations by William David Brohn, musical staging by Wayne Cilento.
