Belka Productions presents the world premiere of A Dashing Fellow at the New Diorama Theatre, near Warren Street central London from 22 Apr to 17 May 2014.

Inspired by the stories of Vladimir Nabokov, this new production brings together characters and situations from three different tales (A Dashing Fellow, A Matter of Chance , A Nursery Tale) into a darkly romantic vision of interwar Europe.

"The crumbling decadence of Germany, 1930: one man's desire takes him far beyond the boundaries of human decency; another's longings and regrets force him into a dangerous spiral of addiction; a third's erotic reveries culminate in a thrilling Faustian pact with the Devil herself. A cast of Russian émigrés, denizens of streetcar and gas-lit café, wander alone through the savage Mitteleuropean night. A series of fleeting encounters bring about irreversible decisions, blooming into worlds of deviance and delight."

The production is directed by Simon Eves and features movement direction by Liana Nyquist who is Head of Movement at Drama Centre London. It is produced by Belka Productions, whose previous fringe credits include 'A Warsaw Melody' at the Arcola Theatre in 2012 and 'Sunstroke' at the Platform Theatre last year. They are also co-producing the West End productions of 'Uncle Vanya' and 'Three Sisters' which run at the Wyndham's Theatre between 23 Apr to 3 May 2014.
