A Dickensian Christmas at the Ophelia Theatre

Burbage Productions Ltd presents A Dickensian Christmas adapted from the works of Charles Dickens and his contemporaries, at the Ophelia Theatre, a fringe venue in Dalston, east London, from 2 Dec to 8 Dec 2013.

Directed by Ben Kernow, the cast includes Georgia Nicholson, Felix O'Brien, Lydea Perkins and Marcus Wilkinson. The cast play over twenty characters between them and the production has been developed through the method of improvisation, in a similar way to the work of director Mike Leigh.

A festive telling of some of English literatures most loved Christmas fables, poetry and music from Dickens to Wordsworth. Set in 1869 in Victorian London, the household of 48 Doughty Street gather on Christmas Eve for a tradition long carried out.
