‘Back to the Future’ extends West End run to July 2022

The sci-fi musical is currently playing at the Adelphi Theatre.

Get ready to feel the power of love for a bit longer! The West End run of Back to the Future will be extended at the Adelphi Theatre, with performances now confirmed to 3 Jul. 2022. Back to the Future tickets are on sale now. 

Based on the hit sci-fi film trilogy of the same name, Back to the Future sees Marty McFly transported back in time with scientist Dr. Emmett Brown in a DeLorean. Now in 1955, McFly must make sure his parents fall in love to go back to the present day. 

Olly Dobson leads the cast as Marty McFly, joined by Roger Bart as Dr Emmett Brown. The cast is completed by Hugh Coles, Rosanna Hyland, Cedric Neal', Aidan Cutler, Courtney-Mae Briggs, Will Haswell, Emma Lloyd, Mark Oxtoby, Rhianne Alleyne, Amy Barker, Matt Barrow, Joshua Clemetson, Jamal Crawford, Bessy Ewa, Morgan Gregory, Ryan Heenan, Cameron McAllister, Alessia McDermott, Laura Mullowney, Nic Myers, Shane O'Riordan, Katharine Pearson, Justin Thomas, Melissa Rose and Tavio Wright.

For the musical's opening night last week, Mark Oxtoby stepped in to play the role of Dr. Emmett Brown, taking over from Roger Hart. Although we haven't officially reviewed Back to the Future just yet, you can read more about Mark Oxtoby in Back to the Future here

Back to the Future features a book by Bob Gale, music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, and direction by John Rando. Scenic and costume design is by Tim Hatley, with lighting design by Tim Luktin and sound design by Gareth Owen.

It has also been confirmed that an original cast recording of Back to the Future will be released later this year. A release date is to be announced. 

Back to the Future is at the Adelphi Theatre.
