Beverley Knight extends her run in The Bodyguard

Beverley Knight has extended her run in The Bodyguard by nearly three months to 31 May 2014 at the Adelphi Theatre.

Currently working on her eighth studio album, Beverley Knight is a British soul singer, songwriter and record producer. She released her debut album in 1995 and was awarded an MBE in 2007 for her services to music and charity. As before, Beverley Knight does not appear on the Wednesday and Saturday matinee performances.

Based on the Warner Bros. film of the same name with screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan, and featuring Whitney Houston's greatest hits, The Bodyguard opened at the Adelphi Theatre 5 Dec 2012, following previews from 6 Nov.

Directed by Thea Sharrock, the musical has book by Alex Dinelaris, designed by Tim Hatley, lighting by Mark Henderson, choreography by Arthur Pita, sound by Richard Brooker. Produced by Michael Harrison and David Ian. Alongside Beverley Knight, who plays Rachel Marron, is Tristan Gemmill as Frank Farmer.

Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge; what they don't expect is to fall in love. A romantic thriller, The Bodyguard features a multitude of Whitney Houston's hits including Queen of the Night, So Emotional, One Moment in Time, Saving All My Love, I'm Your Baby Tonight, Run to You, I Have Nothing, How Will I Know, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and I Will Always Love You.
