UPDATE: Wuthering Heights will now be presented at the National Theatre in February 2022. Check out the latest news from the National Theatre here.

Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights is set to be adapted and directed by Emma Rice at the National Theatre's Lyttelton next autumn, it has been announced.

Rice, who launched her new company Wise Children following her departure as artistic director of Shakespeare's Globe, will deploy her trademark musical and visual style to the classic story, which is a co-production between the National and Wise Children, in association with York Theatre Royal. Dates and casting are yet to be announced, but the production will open in the autumn of next year.

Lucy Briers, Crystal Condie and Kevin Hely will join the cast of Francesca Martinez's debut play All of Us, which will be directed by Ian Rickson. Martinez will play the lead role of Jess, who has had cerebral palsy since birth and whose life has come under threat as the government come calling. It will run in the Dorfman in March.

It's also been announced that Ben Daniels will join Nancy Carroll in Moira Buffini's new play Manor, set to be directed by Fiona Buffini in the Lyttelton in March. The play centres on Diana Stuckley and her daughter who are struggling at their run-down manor house.
