Full casting announced for Kathy Burke’s production of Lady Windermere’s Fan
The full cast has been announced for Lady Windermere's Fan, the next instalment in Dominic Dromgoole's Oscar Wilde season at the Vaudeville Theatre.
Lady Windermere's Fan is about a woman who suspects her husband is cheating on her with another woman. An angry Lady Windermere then invites the other woman to her 21st birthday party.
Grace Molony and Joshua James will play Lady and Lord Windermere respectively, and Joseph Marcell will play Lord Lorton. They are joined by the previously announced Samantha Spiro, Kevin Bishop and Jennifer Saunders.
The full cast includes Victoria Blunt, Natasha Magigi, Ami Metcalf, Charlie Mulliner, Siân Polhill-Thomas, Matthew Darcy, Roger Evans, David O'Reilly, Benedict Salter and Gary Shelford.
Grace Molony was the recipient of the Best Actress award at the 2017 The Stage Debut Awards for her role in The Country Girls at Chichester Festival Theatre. Joshua James won a commendation at the Ian Charleson Awards for his performance in Young Chekhov, and his previous roles include Life of Galileo (Young Vic) and King Lear (Shakespeare's Globe).
The first play in Dominic Dromgoole's Oscar Wilde season at the Vaudeville Theatre was A Woman of No Importance, starring Eve Best. In his review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, Mark Shenton described Best's performance as "absolutely riveting". It runs until 30th December.
Lady Windermere's Fan will run at the Vaudeville Theatre from 12 January to 7 April 2018.
