Samuel Beckett's Happy Days starring Felicity Kendal opens at the Arts Theatre 18 Nov 03, following previews from 12 Nov, and booking to 14 Feb 04.

Felicity Kendal is best known from the 70s BBC TV series "The Good Life". Her other TV credits include "Solo" and "The Mistress". Her London stage credits include "Humble Boy" at the Gielgud in 2002; "Fallen Angels" at the Apollo in 2000; "Alarms & Excursions" at the Gielgud in 1998; "Waste" & "The Seagull" at the Old Vic in 1997; "Mind Millie For Me" at the Haymarket in 1996; "Indian Ink" at the Aldwych in 1995.

It is directed by Peter Hall, designed by Lucy Hall, and produced by Theatre Royal Bath Productions & Fiery Angel Ltd, and will play 4 to 8 Nov 03 at Theatre Royal Bath before coming to the West End.

Happy Days is the story of an eternal optimist facing the harsh realities of life with a smile, endless chatter and an enduring cheerfulness. With her handbag at her side and her husband Willie nearby, she never allows a day to pass without looking her best and hoping for better.
