La Cage Aux Folles , has posted closing notices for 2 Jan 2010 at the Playhouse Theatre.
The Menier Chocolate Factory production of La Cage Aux Folles , opened at the Playhouse Theatre 30 Oct 2008, following previews from 20 Oct, to terrific notices from the popular press: THE GUARDIAN says, "A great musical." THE DAILY MAIL says, " La Cage is a belter of a night out." THE TIMES says, "Suddenly, the West End sparkles." THE DAILY TELEGRAPH says, "This is a glorious night of showbiz razzle-dazzle and emotional generosity."
The cast includes John Barrowman (Albin - from 30 Nov Douglas Hodge takes over the role ), Simon Burke (George - from 30 Nov Denis Lawson takes over the role).
La Cage Aux Folles is directed by Terry Johnson, with choreography by Lynne Page and the musical director is Nigel Lilley. It is designed by Tim Shortall with costumes by Matthew Wright.
