It has been announced that actor and comedian Lenny Henry will present the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards, which take place at the Royal Opera House on Sunday 12 April 2015.

The annual awards ceremony is the biggest event in the theatrical calendar and sees the best of London theatre celebrated in an action packed ceremony packed with stars of the West End stage. Performances on the evening include those from nominated productions and performers, enhanced by a public screening in the Covent Garden piazza.

Henry made his Shakespearean debut in 2009, in the Northern Broadsides' production of Othello - a role which won him the Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Newcomer. He has since performed at the National Theatre and in the West End, recently starring in 'Fences' at the Duchess Theatre.
