Mary Stuart transfers to Apollo Theatre from 7 Oct

Friedrich Schiller's Mary Stuart, in a new version by Peter Oswald, is to transfer from the Donmar Warehouse (where is closes 3 Sep) to the Apollo Theatre, opening 19 Oct 2005, following previews from 7 Oct, and booking to 14 Jan 2006

The cast includes: Janet McTeer (Mary Queen of Scots ), Harriet Walter (Elizabeth I) , Rory Kinnear, Tam Dean Burn, Stephen Fletcher, Guy Henry, David Horovitch, Rufus Wright.

Arielle Tepper, who is producing the play in the West End said, "I'm delighted to be collaborating with the Donmar Warehouse in bringing Phyllida Lloyd's thrilling production of Mary Stuart to the West End. It's an honour to be working with this extraordinary cast and production team and I'm delighted that more theatregoers with be able to see this wonderful Schiller play after its sell-out run at the Donmar."

The play is an account of the extraordinary relationship between England's Elizabeth I and Mary, Queen of Scots.
