The seven-time Olivier-winning show continues at the Cambridge Theatre. Lauren Byrne currently plays Miss Honey in the Roald Dahl musical.
Based on the Roald Dahl novel of the same name, Matilda the Musical follows the titular child as she uses her powerful mind to help save the day at her school, Crunchem Hall. While at school, she forms a strong bond with her teacher, Miss Honey, as well as recalling vivid stories to her librarian Mrs Phelps.
After a world premiere in Stratford-upon-Avon, Matilda opened in the West End in 2011, winning seven Oliviers. The Matilda musical was recently adapted into a film, starring Emma Thompson as Miss Trunchbull. Find out more about Matilda the Musical in London.
