MY FAIR LADY ANNOUNCES NEW BOOKING PERIOD TO 28TH JUNE 03

My Fair Lady has announced a new booking period covering performances from 6th Jan 03 to 28th Jun 03 at the Drury Lane Theatre.(This booking period goes on sale 16th Sep 02) (***Bookings for Groups 15 or more now booking to 19th Dec 03)

With music by Frederick Loewe, book & lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner based on "Pygmalion" by Bernard Shaw, this production has won three Laurence Olivier Awards, including 'Outstanding Musical Production'.

It is directed by Trevor Nunn, designed by Anthony Ward with lighting by David Hersey and choreography by Matthew Bourne.

The show originally opened at the Royal National Theatre in March 2001, where it ran for 3 months before transferring to the Drury Lane theatre in July 2001.

The cast currently features Joanna Riding (Eliza Doolittle) (Katie Knight Adams plays the role on Mon eves & Wed Mats) , Alex Jennings ('Professor Henry Higgins'), Malcolm Sinclair (Colonel Hugh Pickering') Peter Prentice (Freddy Eynsford-Hill), Dilys Laye (Mrs Pearce), Dennis Waterman (Alfred P Doolittle) and Caroline Blakison (Mrs. Higgins).

The story concerns Henry Higgins, an opinionated linguistics professor and confirmed bachelor, who makes a wager with a colleague that within six months he can transform a cockney flower seller, Eliza Doolittle, into a lady who can take her place in high society. He wins the bet, but doesn't bargain for the profound effect she has on his life.
