Fred Theatre company will present a new play One Year Off by Oliver Forrester and Dominic Fletcher at the Old Red Lion pub theatre in Islington, north London, from 7 to 12 June 2016.

Directed by Robert F. Ball, the play presents a UK deprived of its greatest passion. In this surreal comic dystopia, the government has imposed a blanket ban on the beautiful game to improve the nation's 'happiness index'. Anyone found watching, playing or even talking about football will be arrested.

The play has previously been seen at Coventry's Belgrade Theatre and Birmingham's Old Joint Stock Theatre. Oliver Forrester and Dominic Fletcher have been writing together since 2008 and seek to create 'skewed reflections of reality' with their work.

Tickets for the production are now on sale.
