'Patience or Bunthorne's Bride' at the King's Head Theatre

Charles Court Opera bring a new production of the classic Gilbert and Sullivan operetta Patience, or Bunthorne's Bride to the King's Head Theatre in Islington, north London from 4 Jun to 28 Jun 2014.

Featuring a cast of nine performers, Charles Court Opera are experienced in bringing large scale musical productions to intimate spaces. Directed by John Savournin, with musical direction by David Eaton and designs by Simon Bejer, this new production is set to re-invent this popular operatic comedy.

Gilbert and Sullivan's operetta is brimming with cheeky humour and features a score of some of their most popular musical pieces and characters. It is described as a "hilarious, yet sophisticated comic opera" that will reinvent the classic in the small surroundings of the King's Head Theatre.
