Dirty rotten scoundrels Robert Lindsay and Alex Gaumond will reunite in the West End for a one-night only concert performance of Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens' Broadway hit A Christmas Carol the Musical at the Lyceum Theatre on Monday 19th December 2016.

The London Musical Theatre Orchestra will perform the fully orchestrated score for the first time in London at the special event, after decade-long success at New York's Paramount Theatre in Madison Square Garden. Performed by a 32-strong Orchestra, chorus and West End cast, this musical adaptation of one of Charles Dickens' most famous stories features a score by Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens, with book by Lynn Ahrens and Mike Ockrent.

Robert Lindsay will star in the lead role of Scrooge opposite Alex Gaumond as Bob Cratchit. They will be joined by Fred Anderson (John Addison), Madalena Alberto (Ghost of Christmas Past), Carrie Hope Fletcher (Emily), Giovanna Fletcher (Mrs Cratchit), Hugh Maynard (Ghost of Christmas Present), Peter Polycarpou (Mr Fezziwig), Gina Murray (Mrs Fezziwig) and Norman Bowman (Jacob Marley).

Alex Gaumond said of the news: "I had a huge amount of fun working with Robert in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels two years ago and I can't wait to do it again in this exciting UK premiere of A Christmas Carol. I look forward to hearing Alan Menken's music soar with a full orchestra."

The LMTO aims to not only make orchestral performances accessible to brand new audiences, but also to bring the exciting repertoire of musical theatre to a more classical audience.

Tickets for this one off Christmas concert are now on sale.
