Sunset Boulevard concerts to be staged at Alexandra Palace Theatre

The two concerts will take place on June 13.

UPDATE: Sunset Boulevard will now be performed in concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Sunset Boulevard is at the Royal Albert Hall on 3 December. 

Sunset Boulevard follows the relationship between an old-time Hollywood actress and a dejected screenwriter as she tries to get back in front of the cameras. First performed in London in 1993, the musical features music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and a book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton.

Mazz Murray leads the cast as Norma Desmond, previously starring as Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia! and Mama Morton in Chicago. Ramin Karimloo will play Joe Gillis, with Mary Poppins' Zizi Strallen as Betty Schaefer and Jeremy Secomb as Max von Mayerling.

The cast is completed by Geoffrey Aymer, Ashley Campbell, Perola Congo, Momar Diagne, Shailan Gohil, Chloe Hart, Aimee Hodnett, Freddie King, Sejal Keshwala, Evie Rose Lane, Kate O'Donnell, David Shaw Parker, Ashley Samuels, Cameron Sharp and Bleu Woodward. 

Sunset Boulevard will also feature a 24-piece live orchestra to bring songs including "This Time Next Year" and "As If We Never Said Goodbye".

Sunset Boulevard is at the Royal Albert Hall on 3 December.
