YOUNG VIC ANNOUNCES WINTER 2002 SEASON

The Young Vic Theatre has announced its Winter 2002 Season. (Public booking opens 1st July 02, unless otherwise stated)

It is directed by David Lan , designed by Francis O'Connor, with lighting by Matthew Richardson. During the miner's strike of 1912, newly-married Minnie discovers her husband Luther has made another woman pregnant. The drama reaches boiling point as Minnie struggles to reclaim her husband - not only from her rival but also from his formidable mother.

Directed by Declan Donnellan, this is the RSC Academy's inaugural production and is performed by a company of 16 young actors, all of whom have graduated from drama schools this year. It is designed by Nick Ormerod, with lighting by Judith Greenwood.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful Princess who was loved by everyone. Well ... almost everyone. Cursed by a wicked fairy, she pricks her finger and falls into a deep sleep. One hundred years later, a Prince wakes her with a kiss. But the Prince isn't as brave as he should be - and his mother's a bit of an ogress ...

(Suitable for everyone aged 6 and above). ***A Gala Performance to raise vital funds for the Young Vic will take place on Saturday 14 December 2002.
