Ahead of the European premiere of Falsettos we popped into rehearsals with Gemma Knight Jones and Natasha J Barnes, who play the "lesbians next door" Charlotte and Cordelia in William Finn and James Lapine's musical, about the show.

The show paints a picture of family life in 1980s New York, bringing together a plethora of characters, focussing on gay man Marvin, his wife, his lover, his soon to be bar mitzvahed son, their psychiatrist, and the lesbian neighbours. Quite the modern family.

We sat down with Barnes, renowned for stepping to Fanny Brice's shoes in the West End production of Funny Girl, and Jones, who has appeared in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and The Night-Time and The Lion King, to find out a little more about the show.

Falsettos is at The Other Palace until 23rd November.

Falsettos tickets are available now.
