Shipwrecked on a stormy night in Illyria, the beautiful young Viola disguises herself as a man and manages to find employment as a page in the court of the lovesick Duke Orsino. But, just as Viola finds herself falling for the Duke, Olivia - whom Orsino has been constantly pursuing, finds herself falling for Viola. Meanwhile the chaos is only deepened when servant Maria and the drunken Sir Toby Belch plot against Olivia's servant, Malvolio.
