A View From Islington North cast announced - Arts

The cast has been announced for new political satire A View From Islington North, directed by Max Stafford Clark, which will run at the Arts Theatre in London's West End from 18 May to 2 July 2016, with an official opening on 24 May 2016.

The cast includes Sarah Alexander (until 4 June), Ann Mitchell, Bruce Alexander, Steve John Shepherd, Jane Wymark, Joseph Prowen and Kathryn O'Reilly (from 6 June).

A View From Islington North brings together new pieces from political writers such as Alistair Beaton, Stella Feehily, David Hare, Mark Ravenhill and Caryl Churchill. The production will be designed by Tim Shortall, with lighting design by Jason Taylor, sound design by Dyfan Jones and original music by Billy Bragg.

The cast have featured in numerous television programmes, including 'Smack the Pony', 'Coupling', 'Armstrong and Miller' for Sarah Alexander, 'EastEnders' for Ann Mitchell (playing Cora Cross), 'A Touch of Frost' for Bruce Alexander, 'Eastenders' for Steve John Shepherd (playing Michael Moon) and 'Poldark' for Jane Wymark.
