Action Hero will present their American sports movie pastiche Hoke's Bluff at Shoreditch Town Hall in east London from 18 to 29 November 2014.

The production is described as a "contemporary theatre piece inspired by American teen sports movies, looking at how the cliches and conventions that we all know from these films can still pack a real emotional punch."

Hoke's Bluff has been created and devised by Action Hero company, in collaboration with Nick Walker. It will be performed by members of the company alongside Laura Dannequin. The tour and London run will be produced by China Plate and is supported by Mel Scaffold, Theatre Bristol Company Producer.

Action Hero is the collaboration between UK artists Gemma Paintin and James Stenhouse. They make live art and performance that seeks to use audiences as collaborators and co-conspirators. They have toured to theatres, bars and public spaces across 5 continents and have performed to audiences around the world. Hoke's Bluff is their fourth UK tour.
