UPDATE: In a tweet from the Almeida TheatreHymn will be available to watch on Sky Arts on 18 April.

Originally, the world premiere of Lolita Chakrabarti's Hymn was due to open at the Almeida Theatre last month. Sadly, in-person performances were cancelled, but Hymn will still be premiered at the Almeida in a livestream presentation.

Following two men who meet at a funeral, Gil and Benny quickly become friends. Forming a deep bond with one another, the pair realise how they can find courage within one another, working out how to be a good father, brother or son.

The two-person production stars Adrian Lester, whose West End credits include Othello and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Danny Sapani will also feature, previously starring in the 2014 production of Medea opposite Helen McCrory, now available to watch on National Theatre at Home

Hymn marks Lolita Chakrabarti's latest play, with writing credits including Red Velvet and the stage adaptation of Life of Pi. Life of Pi will transfer to the Wyndham's Theatre in 2021, after an award-winning run in Sheffield with Life of Pi tickets on sale now.
