Journey's End transfers to Playhouse 3 May 2004 with cast changes!

R C Sherriff's Journey's End , which transfers from the Comedy Theatre to the Playhouse Theatre on 3 May 2004, will have cast changes!

The cast from 3 May 2004 will be: Philip Franks (Osbourne), Paul Bradley (Trotter), David Sturzaker (Stanhope), Pearce Quigley, Bob Barrett, Max Berendt, Alex Grimwood, Toby Kebbell, John R. Mahoney, Ifan Meredith, Guy Williams.

The play opened at the Comedy theatre on 21 Jan 04 to terrific notices from the popular press: NICHOLAS DE JONGH for THE EVENING STANDARD says, "Still comes at you with such galloping power and poignancy." Produced by Background, the play is directed by David Grindley, designed by Jonathan Fensom, with lighting by Jason Taylor.

Set against the background of life in the trenches during World War One, the play is based on the author's own experience of the Front. It follows a group of officers behind British lines at St Quentin, France, who await their fate on the front line.
