Lisa Dillon cast in Penhall's Birthday at Royal Court

Lisa Dillon will join previously mentioned Stephen Mangan in Birthday, a new play by Joe Penhall, which opens at the Royal Court Downstairs 28 June 2012, following previews from 22 June - running to 4 Aug 2012.

Lisa Dillon's recent credits include Knot of the Heart at the Almeida, A Flea in her Ear and Design for Living at the Old Vic and Private Lives in the West End. On television, she played Miss Mary Smith in the BBC series Cranford.

It is directed by Roger Michell, designed by Mark Thompson, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by John Leonard.

Lisa and Ed are having another baby. Determined to do things differently this time, it's proving a bumpy ride. This is a whole new birth plan.
