Maria Friedman: Re-arranged, at Menier Chocolate Factory, 19 Mar - 4 May 2008

Maria Friedman: Re-arranged, will open at the Fringe venue, Menier Chocolate Factory, 27 Mar h 2008, following previews from 19 Mar - booking to 4 May 2008.

Accompanied by an 11-piece band, Maria Friedman will perform newly arranged versions of songs from the likes of Stephen Sondheim, Jacques Brel, Burt Bacharach, Jason Robert Brown, Andrew Lippa, George Gershwin, Kander and Ebb, Randy Newman, Michel Legrand and Stevie Wonder.

Maria Friedman's first solo show in London, first seen 13 years ago, By Special Arrangement, won an Olivier Award. She has won two other Oliviers for Ragtime and Sondheim's Passion. Her other musical theatre credits include, The Woman in White, Chicago, Sunday in the Park With George, and Sweeney Todd in which she played Mrs Lovett opposite Bryn Terfel for the re-opening of the Royal Festival Hall. She has also played three concert seasons at the world famous Café Carlyle in New York.
