The Olivier Award-nominated production will resume performances in the West End.
UPDATE: Six the Musical will now play at the Lyric Theatre for an extended two weeks. Performances will now run at the Lyric to 14 Feb. 2021.
Six the Musical will be the first West End musical to welcome audiences once again, as the show transfers from the Arts Theatre to the Lyric Theatre later this year. Ahead of the musical returning to the capital, Six producers Kenny Wax, Wendy & Andy Barnes and George Stiles say, "Across our two UK productions of SIX we have the opportunity to give work to 100 or so actors... we hope to entertain many thousands of theatregoers who have been starved of live entertainment... We continue to look forward to the day when social distancing is removed and theatre can play to 100% capacity."
Six will play nine performances a week at the Lyric Theatre, as part of all Nimax theatres in the West End reopening later this year. The production will then return to the Arts Theatre in March 2021, with the world premiere of Get Up, Stand Up! The Bob Marley Story opening at the Lyric.
First performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2017, the musical received five Olivier Award nominations in 2019, including best new musical. Six was set to make its Broadway premiere in March this year, however its opening night was cancelled hours before curtain up, due to the closure of New York theatres.
Six is now at the Lyric Theatre from November 14th* to January 31st, 2021.
