The Liz and Dick Show at the Old Red Lion

Church Mouse Productions will present The Liz and Dick Show at the Old Red Lion Theatre in Islington, north London, from 13 to 31 January 2015.

The play, which is written and directed by Dhanil Ali, enjoyed a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013. The cast includes Ken McConnell (Richard Burton) and Lydia Poole (Elizabeth Taylor), who will be recreating their Edinburgh Fringe Festival roles in this revised production.

Synopsis: "For Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, rehearsals for Private Lives were beginning to mirror real life. As their personal and professional partnership begins to unravel their sparring becomes something to rival anything that Noel Coward could ever write."
