Thoroughly Modern Millie revival at Landor Theatre

SDWC Productions present a revival of Thoroughly Modern Millie, with music by Jeanine Tesori, lyrics by Dick Scanlan and book by Richard Morris and Dick Scanlan, at the Landor Theatre, a fringe venue in south west London, from 18 August to 13 September 2015.

The show will be directed by Matthew Iliffe with set design by Andrew Riley, choreography by Sam Spencer Lane, lighting by Sam Waddington and musical direction by Chris Guard.

Synopsis: "Set in New York in 1922, Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of young Millie Dillmount, who has just moved to the city in search of a new life. It's a New York full of intrigue and jazz - a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behaviour were changing forever."

The musical was originally presented on Broadway in 2002 and won six Tony Awards (including Best New Musical) and five Drama Desk Awards. The original West End production was nominated for three Olivier Awards, also including Best New Musical and ran at the Shaftesbury Theatre from October 2003 to June 2004.
