Unreachable starring Matt Smith opens at the Royal Court Theatre
Anthony Neilson's new devised play Unreachable opens at the Royal Court Theatre.
The Royal Court Theatre in Sloane Square, west London, is no stranger to high level experimentation. It's latest play, Unreachable by Anthony Neilson, has been created by the company whilst in the rehearsal room. Unlike most plays which begin the rehearsal process with a final draft of the script, this new drama brings together a talented cast led by ex-Dr Who Matt Smith, who have worked together to craft a brand new production.
Throughout the rehearsal process content has been produced for an online website to give insights to theatre fans on the process of devising new work. All that is know about the plot at this stage is that it will centre around an obsessive film director.
Directed by Anthony Neilson, the production is designed by Chloe Lamford, costume design by Fly Davis, lighting design by Chahine Yavroyan and sound and composition by Nick Powell.
The cast features Matt Smith, Amanda Drew, Tamara Lawrance, Jonjo O'Neill and Richard Pyros.
Unreachable runs at the Royal Court Theatre Jerwood Theatre Downstairs from 2 July to 6 August 2016, with an official opening on 8 July 2016.
