Wicked opened at the Apollo Victoria Theatre on 27 Sept. 2006, and recently welcomed its 11th million theatregoer in London. The Stephen Schwartz musical, Wicked, follows Elphaba, a young green-skinned witch who must make lifechanging decision as she discovers the true extents of her powers. Wicked features songs such as "Defying Gravity," "No Good Deed," "Popular," and "One Short Day."
Lucie Jones leads the Wicked cast as Elphaba, joined by Helen Woolf as Glinda, Ryan Reid as Fiyero, Sophie-Louise Dann as adame Morrible, Gary Wilmot as The Wizard, Carina Gillespie as Nessarose, Nicholas McLean as Boq and Simeon Truby as Doctor Dillamond.
Mark Curry will take over the role of the Wizard from 18 October as Gary Wilmot stars in Jack and the Beanstalk at the London Palladium. The Wicked cast is subject to change from 7 Mar. 2023.
Joe Mantello directs Winnie Holzman's Wicked. The show features scenic design by Eugene Lee, costume design by Susan Hilferty, lighting design by Kenneth Postner and sound design by Tony Meola.
