The Hamilton spoof musical Spamilton is set to get its UK premiere at the Menier Chocolate Factory later this year.

Written by Gerard Alessandrini, the man behind Forbidden Broadway, the musical lovingly spoofs Lin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway show with numbers like "Look Around (The Schuyler Puppets)", "Lin-Manuel's New York City", "Lin-Manuel as Hamilton" and "Raise a Glass to Broadway".

Spamilton will run in London at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 12th July to 8th September, with an official opening night on 24th July.

Described by New York Times critic Ben Brantley as "smart, silly and often convulsively funny", the show opened in New York at the Triad from July 2016 and closed in the city in January of this year.

Alessandrini's Forbidden Broadway, which spoofs Broadway musicals, has been seen across the world. The show was seen at the Menier in 2009 starring Anna-Jane Casey, Sophie-Louise Dann, Damian Humbley and Ben Lewis. It later ran at the Vaudeville Theatre in the West End.

Casting for Spamilton is yet to be announced.

Kiss of the Spider Woman is currently running at the Menier Chocolate Factory, with Jordi Galceran's The Grönholm Method set to open in May.

Spamilton is at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 12th July to 8th September.

Spamilton tickets are available now.
