Lyndsey Marshal join cast of Three Days of Rain

Lyndsey Marshal joins previously mentioned Nigel Harman and James McAvoy in Three Days of Rain, by Richard Greenberg, which opens at the Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Ave 10 Feb 2009, following previews from 30 Jan 2009 - running to 9 May 2009.

Lyndsey Marshal's credits span theatre, television and film. Most recently she has played Cleopatra in the BBC/HBO series "Rome". Her stage credits include "The Pride" at the Royal Court, "Absurdia" & "Boston Marriage" at the Donmar Warehouse, "A Matter of Life and Death" at the National Theatre, and "The Hypochondriac" at the Almeida Theatre. She has also appeared in films "The Hours" and "The Gathering Storm".

The play is directed by Jamie Lloyd and produced by Caro Newling for Neal Street Productions and Nick Frankfort and Tobias Round for Creative Management and Productions (CMP).

Explores how the private worlds of one generation are reinterpreted by the next. Walker Janeway and his sister Nan reunite for the reading of their father's will in the Manhattan loft where he lived. A wealthy architect, Ned's legacy is the iconic, internationally renowned 1960s New York house designed with his late business partner Theo. Joined by Theo's son , the three childhood friends meet to settle the estate and determine the future of the house. The discovery of a brief entry, 'three days of rain' , in Ned's diary is the only clue to the true stories of the previous generation.
