Secret Cinema to launch immersive 'Barbie' experience

Secret Cinema's new immersive show is based on Greta Gerwig’s hit film Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.

Leading immersive theatre company Secret Cinema will launch their next immersive theatre show Barbie in BarbieLand next summer for eight weeks only.

Based on Greta Gerwig’s hit film Barbie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, the new immersive show promises "dazzling theatrical performances from a West End cast, immersive sets where different stories inside BarbieLand play out, an incredible outdoor BarbieLand Carnival to visit before or after the show, epic dancefloors to dance the night away, endless photo opportunities, themed food and drinks, and, of course… an abundance of Ken-ergy™".

Last summer, Secret Cinema presented Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical at Evolution London in Battersea Park. Our critic said: "It is quite the spectacle, with the room fizzing in Grease-induced glee. Designed as a love letter to the much-beloved movie, Secret Cinema takes everything we adore about Grease and makes it even more electrifyin’."

The creative team for Barbie in BarbieLand is yet to be announced, but their credits span the West End, Broadway and the music industry's biggest hits.
