All Off West End Shows

Lots of popular West End shows started out as a piece of fringe theatre. Mischief Theatre’s debut play The Play That Goes Wrong opened at the Red Lion Theatre above a pub. Off-West End theatres such as the Royal Court and the Donmar Warehouse often house award-winning shows and world premieres. See a show at some of London’s greatest theatres, including Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, or catch the early performances of a hit show before it takes over the world.

Off-West End shows allow the chance to see new and innovative works from emerging playwrights and artists. Whether you’re looking for a thought-provoking drama, an edgy comedy, or a new piece of fringe theatre, then you’ll get it all Off-West End. Browse through our regularly updated selection of Off-West End tickets and see exciting fringe theatre. Get tickets to London fringe shows on London Theatre.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between West End theatres and Fringe theatres?

With some exceptions, West End theatres generally include large (at least multiple hundred seats) theatres located in the West End neighbourhood. Fringe, or Off-West End, theatres include smaller theatres in that neighbourhood as well as theatres of all sizes located elsewhere in the city.

How many Off-West End theatres are there?

There are hundreds of Off-West End theatres located all across London that you can discover. Generally, any performance space located outside the West End district, as well as small theatres within the neighbourhood, are considered "Off-West End."
